RESEARCH INTERESTS
Judy Vance’s research interests include virtual reality applications in mechanical design, numerical methods that facilitate interactive design, and human computer interaction. Recently her work has focused on haptic (force feedback) simulation to assist virtual assembly of CAD models which have low clearance fits. She is also exploring various issues related to product design, including the intersection of the fields of industrial design and mechanical design, and the use of immersive computer technology in decision making.
