RESEARCH INTERESTS
Nicola Elia’s research interests focus on various topics in decision and control systems, including multi-objective controller design, control with communication constraints, networked control systems. He is the author of seminal papers on quantized and networked control systems and an expert in advanced controller design methodologies. More recently he has been working on distributed control and estimation problems, network distributed optimization systems, and cooperative networked multi-agent systems. He is interested in applications of distributed control and optimization to smart grid and control of wind farms.
